Editor’s Notes (September 2020)

Each month, content gets updated on the Pre-War Cards site. However, while you see the regular articles that are posted, plenty of stuff is always being added behind the scenes. Much of this has to do with the updating of set descriptions and checklists in the database and each month, I’ll be posting to alert you to stuff that has been added or updated from the previous month.
Here are the items added/updated from the past month.
Lots of happenings around the site this past month (again).
The biggest achievement this month was the addition of all of the various baseball Exhibit card sets to the site. Now, I previously did have an Exhibit card page for them. But this month, I dedicated myself to breaking all of the sets out by year, covering each one specifically.
You’ll find all of the individual Exhibit set pages here.
Most of the pre-war ‘news’ that I covered was related to strip cards. A long suspected but unchecklisted card in the H804-5 Coloured Players set was confirmed. I mentioned some unknowns on Card No. 220, another baseball trade card. And I also tried to sort out the confusion surrounding the W560 strip card set (er, sets), which is probably one of the more popular strip issues out there.
Some odds and ends were also taken care of. One new set I learned about last month was the Card Fiends trade card set, which is actually, in part, about card collecting itself. And, hey, I’ve already got the Obscure Card of the Month up for September.
Most of the sets below that were added to the site were the Exhibit cards. But several other new sets have been added as well.
