What is this Site?
In short, http://www.prewarcards.com serves two main functions, operating a large database of sets and also as a blog with more detailed articles and news about pre-war cards.
Sets cataloged here vary quite a bit. Most are purely sports-related sets but any sets with at least one sports card (baseball, basketball, football, hockey, golf, tennis, boxing, or wrestling) are cataloged here, too. Even sets that may be mostly non-sports cards will be cataloged here if they have at least one sports card from one of those sports.
While the site is extensive, there are sets that aren’t yet covered here. If you find one of those that needs added, please let me know.
