1935 Colombia Olympics Stamps Overview
These stamps, produced in 1935, were printed for the Colombia Olympics. While other international stamp sets for competitive games included baseball and are relatively inexpensive, this is a rare stamp set.
The set features a variety of sports but the biggest one here to most American collectors is the baseball stamp. Other stamps in the set are non-sports issues.
The baseball stamp, shown here, features a baserunner reaching for a base with a fielder attempting to tag him. Other stamps in the set include soccer, tennis, track and field, and swimming.
Because the stamps were actual postage stamps, they carried specific denominations. They are often found canceled/used and those have less value than unused stamps.
