Amatller Chocolates Los Deportes Overview

Amatller Chocolate Los Deportes Amatller Los Deportes Wrestling The Amatller Chocolates Los Deportes (translated to ‘The Sports) set features 40 cartoon images depicting various sports.

Of most interest to American collectors is Card No. 26, which features a baseball scene. In it, a hitter is swinging a bat, clubbing one of his teammates while hitting the ball back off the pitcher’s head.

The text on the back says something to the effect of the bat must be used with great precision so as not to fail and that sometimes unforeseen incidents occur. The back also has the Amatller Chocolates logo and states they are made in Barcelona.

In addition to the baseball card some other sports are featured here that are popular to collectors. Another major sport is included in basketball and there are also cards featuring golf, tennis, boxing, wrestling, and more.

The cards were produced in Spain. While not entirely rare there, they are significantly more difficult to find in the U.S.

Amatller Chocolates also produced many other sports cards. Notably, they produced a popular boxing set as well as a set that featured actors and actresses, including football star Red Grange, who appeared in a film.
