2020 National Sports Collectors Convention Rescheduled to December

The popular annual show scheduled for this summer has been rescheduled

E90-1 062 KeelerOriginally scheduled from July 29 through August 2 this summer, the 2020 National Sports Collectors Convention recently issued a statement that the event is being postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 / the coronavirus.

The event is now scheduled to take place in Atlantic City at the Atlantic City Convention Center (the original venue) from December 12-16. Even that may change, however. While the event is tentatively being moved to that time, that assumes the spread of the virus will be less of a problem, obviously.

Only a little more than a month ago, an announcement was made that there were no plans to cancel or reschedule the event. But with the virus still affecting most day-to-day operations, it was clear that holding the event at its original time was not likely.

There is of course a chance the event will be canceled entirely — something the event planners realize, per the recent press release. A decision on whether or not to proceed with the show will be made by the middle of September. Those that have already purchased their tickets can use the in December or can request a refund.
