1934 Orienta Cigarettes Pictures of our Time (Orienta-Zeitbilder) Overview
This set was produced in Germany and included black and white images of all sorts of subjects. At least one hockey card (and potentially others) exists in the set, shown here. It is not believed to include any of the other four major American sports.
The card shown here features a picture from November 1933. The back, roughly translated, says it includes an Olympic hockey team in training, but gives no further details.
In addition to a specific title/description of the pictures on the front, the cards all had the same advertisement from Orienta Cigarettes, the producer of the issue. In short, it says that the cards tell about the events of our days. A book for the cards was also available for sale at local cigar shops or directly from Orienta, located in Germany.
