1913-1915 W530 Pinkerton Scorecards / Postcards Overview
The Pinkerton Scorecards set includes a release of postcard-sized photos of various baseball players. The set is named as a Pinkerton issue because the images are the same ones used in the T5 Pinkerton premium set.
The cards/photos include black and white images of players with their name, position, team, and a card number. It isn’t clear how many cards are in the set.
The scorecards were not classified by Jefferson Burdick in his American Card Catalog. It has since been categorized as W530 after that publication by some collectors.
Most notably, there are three different types of backs. One includes a standard postcard, one is blank, and probably the most interesting is a third, which includes a blank scorecard so that fans could score an actual baseball game.
