1922 Eastern Exhibit Supply Company Postcards Overview
The 1922 Eastern Exhibit Supply Company Postcards set included sepia or black and white postcards with player images on the front and general postcard backs. At the bottom of the postcards are the player names and teams as well as a copyright stamp.
Backs can be found with a few different postcard styles. Most notably, some have the Eastern Exhibit Supply Company Philadelphia name while others have that name overprinted and the Chicago name below it. The postcards are unnumbered.
For a set with only 20 postcards, it includes a packed lineup full of stars. Led by Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Walter Johnson, more than half of the set includes Hall of Famers since 12 (60%) of the players meet that designation. Most of the players in the set were featured in later Exhibit card releases.
Most of the postcards from this set were printed with sepia images. The black and white ones are rarer and subsequently more valuable.
