Earl Christy Embossed EAS Postcards Overview
This series featured a fan or cheerleader rooting for a particular football team. They can be distinguished from many other issues because they are embossed with the picture presenting a 3D image.
Each woman shown is featured in fancy apparel with her school pennant and either sitting on or near a brick wall. This general motif was a common theme with other postcards – particularly those done by Earl Christy. Christy also produced embossed postcards featuring only the females with pennants.
The backs are not numbered but do include the letters ‘EAS’ inside of a small heart. They also state that the postcards were made in Germany.
Backs include a simple, traditional postcard layout with a divider line to separate the message from the recipient’s address.
