Douglass Fan/Pennant Postcards Overview

These postcards were similar to other issues produced around the same time period.

Each postcard featured a female with a school pennant and representing a particular college. They are a little different from other sets that featured full body poses. These featured closeup pictures. Fronts also featured a college cheer, identifying the school being featured.

Backs include a simple, traditional postcard layout without a divider line. The back was to be used solely for the mailing address so you will sometimes see these postcards with messages written on the front.

These were produced by the Douglass Post Card Company based in Philadelphia, PA as printed on the backs.
