College Girl Series Foldout Pennants Postcards Overview
These postcards featured a unique design that made them look more like a greeting card of sorts.
Fronts included a color picture of a fan of a particular school. They were printed as part of a pennant that extended beyond the border of the postcard. Each fan was holding a pennant and the back of the larger pennant included the school’s seal. The part that extended had an intentional fold which would fold over part of the back of the postcard. In addition, a school cheer is printed on the postcards.
While athletes aren’t depicted on this series, it is no doubt a sports issue since it features fans of various college teams. The sport in question could be up for debate but it is generally considered a football issue since it compares well to other known postcards that depict fans of that sport.
