1906 A.H. Rah Rah Series Postcards Overview
These postcards featured pictures of female fans of a particular college football team. Two different types exist – one with a thick white border (Type 1 in this article) and one without a border (Type 2).
The pictures are in color and each woman is wearing formal clothing and is shown with a pennant for the school she is representing.
These were two of many such postcard issues in the early 1900s. The postcards are copyrighted by A.H. and the bottoms have a particular cheer for her school’s team.
While athletes aren’t depicted on this series, it is no doubt a sports issue since it features fans of various college teams. The sport in question could be up for debate but it is generally considered a football issue since it compares well to other known postcards that depict fans of that sport.
