1911 Decorative Poster Company Series HC 1-12 Postcards Overview
These postcards featured pictures of various women. While most are in a non-sports capacity, one features a female’s head that is printed on a football. Her face iss sticking out of the football with torn leather around it.
Fronts stated that the artwork was done by the U.S. Lithograph Company. Backs named the distributor as The Decorative Poster Company based in Cincinnati, OH. They stated that the postcards were part of Series HC 1-12.
A few different variations of the football postcard are known. These all shared the same pictures were the same through the series with the same girl shown. However, the woman’s shirt and hair accessory had different colors.
The backs utilized a standard divided layout.
