Howland Baseball and Cricket Goods Trade Card Overview
This is a trade card that was used to promote a business.
Unlike some other trade cards, this appears to have been printed for only one specific company – George Howland, a baseball and cricket goods dealer.
The blue trade card features a shoe that was advertised for thirty-five cents. These were actually spikes as Howland mentions that they had steel baseball and cricket plates, which were on the bottoms. Howland’s business was located at 26 Kneeland Street in Boston, Massachusetts.
