Del Pratt St. Louis Browns Blotter Overview
This unique blotter didn’t serve as an advertisement for a traditional company that sold goods. Rather, it was used to promote the St. Louis Browns baseball team.
The blotter is titled, ‘A Daily Dividend of Health’ and mentions that the fresh air from attending a Browns game will lead to increased business capacity the next day. Specifically, it also talks about player Del Pratt, who is featured on the card.
The card features Pratt inside of a shape that looks like a full-length mirror. The border around the entire card is dark with light-colored diamond shapes.
The bottom of the card states that seats are on sale at Mackey and Spiro, located at 517 Olive Street with games at Sportsman’s Park.
The exact date of this blotter, unfortunately, is not known. But Pratt played for the Browns between 1912 and 1917 so it would have almost certainly been produced during those years.
