1910 Washington Times Overview
The 1910 Washington Times issue is a rare set featuring a variety of professional baseball players. Unlike some other sets produced by regional publications, the set includes players from an assortment of teams outside of the local area.
The cards have a curious look to them with a red tint. Pictures include mostly action shots of players fielding, throwing, or batting, but a few portrait shots are included as well. The set is a rare one. As REA indicates, many of the cards have only a single known example.
Each card has a player image on the front inside of a deep red border. The bottom included a printed nameplate with the player’s name, team, and ‘Washington Times Series.’ Backs of the cards are blank.
Pictures of all of the cards can be seen here.
