1921 Proctor’s Theatre Babe Ruth Overview
The Proctor’s Theatre Babe Ruth card touted an appearance by the baseball star on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th in 1921.
The front of the card features a black and white image of Ruth. He also added a replica signature and the following inscription:
To my Mount Vernon Admirers
Proctor Theater Nov 3, 4, 5
The backs mentioned that the cards were compliments of Mr. F.F. Proctor, who was, presumably, the owner of the venue. The backs also repeated the November dates that Ruth would be at the theater performing.
As REA notes here, Ruth went on a 15-week vaudeville tour and the November 3rd stop at Proctor’s was his debut appearance.
