1934 Quaker Oats Babe Ruth Photo Premium Overview
In 1934, members of Quaker Oats’ Babe Ruth Baseball Club received an 8″ x 10″ photograph.
The picture features Ruth’s trademark swing along with a replica signature from Ruth, inscribed, ‘To My Pal.’ The picture had a white border with this imprint on the bottom:
“Presented to Members of Babe Ruth Baseball Club by the Quaker Oats Company, makers of Quaker Puffed Wheat and Puffed Rice”
The photograph is just one of many Ruth items for Quaker Oats. He appeared on several other collectibles and his relationship with the company is apparent. One oddity is his appearance in the Quaker Oats Puffed Wheat Ask Me series, which was a baseball trivia game. Ruth was a big focal point in that set as he was featured on eight of the 26 cards as part of questions/answers. This premium may have even been tied directly to that card set.
