Boating & Rowing

Rowing and boating have been around since the start of pre-war cards. And competitive rowing, in particular, can be found on cards as early as the 19th century.

Similar to auto racing, it can be a bit difficult to classify boating cards as either sports or non-sports cards. Cards titled ‘rowing’ are typically considered to be sporting issues both other cards depicting couples on a sailboat, etc., aren’t exactly the same thing. In addition to rowing, this page also includes sets with cards labeled as canoeing, kayaking, and yachting.
