Boating & Rowing
Rowing and boating have been around since the start of pre-war cards. And competitive rowing, in particular, can be found on cards as early as the 19th century.
Similar to auto racing, it can be a bit difficult to classify boating cards as either sports or non-sports cards. Cards titled ‘rowing’ are typically considered to be sporting issues both other cards depicting couples on a sailboat, etc., aren’t exactly the same thing. In addition to rowing, this page also includes sets with cards labeled as canoeing, kayaking, and yachting.
Below are known sets from the American Card Catalog with these types of cards.
