Heritage to Auction PSA’s Highest-Graded 1933 Goudey Set

The top PSA 1933 Goudey baseball card set will be auctioned in January

A short while back, the highest-graded T206 set was auctioned, raising more than $8 million. Now the top 1933 Goudey set will head to market.

Heritage recently announced that they would manage the auction of the No. 1 1933 Goudey set currently on PSA’s registry. The set will include some cards that are the highest ever graded by the company.

As was the case in the T206 set, the cards will be auctioned individually. Obviously, that makes the most sense as it will encourage the most bidding and allow more people to take part. That, essentially, should increase the final price.

The auction is not yet open for viewing but Heritage has placed a few of the cards up on their preview page. Included are a PSA 9 of the shortprinted Nap Lajoie card as well as a pair of Babe Ruth PSA 9s and a pair of Ruth PSA 8s.

Bidding is scheduled to begin January 2, 2019.
