Hünig Cigarettes Mirah Sport Wrestlers of the World Set Overview
This interesting German tobacco set features the sport of wrestling. As advertised on the backs, there appear to be 100 cards in the set.
Each card is a black and white picture. Some are pictures of individual wrestlers but many show wrestlers engaged in action against each other. Cards have a white border with no text on the front but the wrestlers are named on the back along with an advertisement for Hünig and the set.
The back is written in German but, loosely translated, it names this set “Wrestlers of the World.” True to the name, wrestlers featured in the set are both German wrestlers as well as wrestlers from other countries.
The cards are exceedingly rare – at least in the U.S. They are rarely seen and not much information is widely known about the set.
