Pre-War Cards

Heritage Auctions recently completed its latest auction and, as usual, pre-war cards were among some of the largest sales.

Ten of the top 25 cards auctioned were pre-war cards. Leading the way was a Honus Wagner T206 PSA 2 that sold for a little over $775,000. Also among the Top 25 were the following cards:

• Babe Ruth 1916 Sporting News PSA 4 ($215,100)
• Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey PSA 8 (#53 yellow background) ($203,150)
• Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey PSA 8 (#149 red background) ($143,400)
• Babe Ruth 1916 Famous and Barr PSA 3 ($119,500)
• Cap Anson N172 Old Judge (suit) PSA 8 ($95,600)
• Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey PSA 8 (#181 green background) ($57,360)
• Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey PSA 8 (#144 field background) ($41,825)
• Joe Jackson 1915 Cracker Jack PSA 7 ($40,630)
