S81 Silks Overview

S81 107 Walsh.jpg

The S81 Silk Premiums included a variety of subjects, including 25 baseball players. While the silks are commonly believed to be 7″ x 9″, smaller sizes have been known to exist that may not have been trimmed. The American Card Catalog also notes this, stating that premiums are either 5″ x 7″ or 7″ x 9″.

The silks included a large color picture of the player with his last name, team, and a small checklist number in the upper left corner.

The issue is completely jam-packed with stars. In all, more than 60% of the entire set is comprised of Hall of Famers.
