1927 British Trees and Their Uses Set Overview
This set was issued by British American Tobacco for several brands, including Ogden’s and Lambert and Butler. They are found with the Ogden’s Cigarettes name, Lambert and Butler name, or with no sponsor name (British American Tobacco).
At first glance, this is almost entirely a non-sports set. It features different trees and their various uses. One, however, is considered to be a sports card.
Card No. 3 features the ash tree and that type of wood was used for tennis rackets and field hockey sticks, among other things. Featured on the card is a picture of the tree as well as that sports equipment.
