1930s Tiedemanns Boxing Set Overview
This set was issued in Norway and not easily found in the U.S. It is easily determined as a Norwegian issue as text on the card bears that language. Technically, the title is called ‘Boksing’, which is boxing in that language.
Cards picture a pair of generic boxers and appears to be one of the many instructional sets of that time. Fighters are depicted in various stances and demonstrating the sport.
The cards are basic and without color. Backs have a description of the picture on the front. All text, however, is in Norwegian. The Tiedemanns logo is printed at the bottom. The phrase, ‘kvalitetsmerket for alt tobak’ is also added to the backs. Roughly translated, that means a ‘quality label for all tobacco.’
