1913 The Great National Game of Base Ball Game Cards Overview
This game was produced by the Harking Card Company in Springfield, Massachusetts. It should not be confused with a German set produced around the same time with the same name that focused on matching cards.
An exact date for the game is not known 100% but it seems to have been distributed in 1913, per this advertisement found in the October 4, 1913 edition of Sporting Life magazine.
Like many card games, they did not include a large box with a playing surface. Instead, the cards were packaged in a small box.
The card design was the same throughout the deck. Two catchers masks were at the top and bottom of the cards with a pair of crossed bats separating them. Each card had printed actions on them to dictate game play.
