1910 The Great National Game of Base Ball Game Cards Overview
This game from 1910 was produced overseas in Germany. It included playing cards with crude drawings of players in different positions.
Like many card games, they did not include a large box with a playing surface. Instead, the cards were packaged in a small box. The box included a cartoon drawing of a batter and catcher and had the name of the game printed at the top in red lettering.
Unlike other games of the same era, this game was not a simulated game of baseball. Instead, it was a matching game of sorts.
The set should not be confused with another baseball card game with the same name produced in 1913. That set was created by the Harking Game Company in the United States and is played differently.
