1915 Georgia Bulldogs Baseball Champions Stamp Overview
This stamp featured a championship Georgia Bulldogs baseball team.
The issue includes a picture of the team as well as, presumably, coaches or other men tied to the program that are in formal clothing. It is a black and white picture that states, ‘Champion Baseball Team’ at the top. The bottom reads, ‘University of Georgia, Athens, GA.’
The stamp is mostly unknown to collectors and difficult to find. It also is not clear what type of championship was won by the program. National champions were not formally recognized until the 1940s.
Georgia’s baseball program was created in 1886.
