In 1932, Rowntree Chocolate and Cocoa (a UK company) produced this set of 120 trading cards, calling it their Treasure Trove set.

The cards covered a variety of topics and most were non-sports related. Rowntree created ten different subsets to create this issue. They were:

  1. Heroes and Heroines of the British Empire
  2. Dogs
  3. Famous Bridges of the World
  4. Old British Customs
  5. Animals at Play
  6. Ships – Old and New
  7. Costumes of the Past
  8. Sports
  9. British Birds
  10. Types of Aeroplanes

Because the entire set contained 120 cards, each series/subset presumably contained 12 cards.

The release included a baseball card in the sports subset. Pictured on it is a generic batter and catcher with no identification.

To date, the only other sports cards I have seen in the set are ones featuring tennis and skiing. I am unsure which other sports cards currently exist.
