Mickey Vernon Paramount Clothes

This unique issue featured members of the Springfield Nationals.

The photos state that they were for a “Paramount Clothes Souvenir Winner.” It is unknown how many of these were produced and how many contest winners there were. To date, only a few are known.

The black and white picture features players on the field at the stadium. The names were printed in script but were not replica signatures. That is evident in that the font matches the font of the writing at the bottom citing the contest winner.

The players shown here are Mickey Vernon and Mickey Livingston. Vernon had a long major league career, appearing in 2,409 games over 20 seasons (primarily with the Washington Senators). Livingston bounced around quite a bit as a ballplayer. He lasted ten years in the majors but played for six different teams, not including his various minor league stops in the beginning and end of his career.
