William Vogel Baseball Combination Room Trade Card Overview
This is a trade card that was used to promote a business. The card serves as an advertisement for William Vogel’s Baseball Combination Room.
The Combination Room was a place where patrons could go to get updated scores on baseball games. In the pre-internet and pre-television days, these rooms were popular as they would receive the scores via wire. This particular room was in Leavenworth, Kansas and open every evening.
The card itself is a basic one, advertising the room and inviting customers to smoke Santa Remo and Little Tycoon cigars. It was printed on a brown-colored stock and the other side had schedules.
