The Enterprising Niggers Trade Card Overview
This is a trade card that was used to promote businesses.
The card features a slur not acceptable by today’s standards as the headline in, The Enterprising Niggers. The picture features two black men in the picture and is only nominally a baseball card. One man is holding a bat that is broken and a second is seen holding his leg, standing on one foot next to a baseball.
A sub caption below the title reads:
“Find the mischievous shop boy wid sold the damage bat” (sic)
