H804-26 Large Card Series (201) Trade Cards Overview
This set is part of the baseball comic series of trade cards. Noted collector Frank Keetz assigned it the designation used in his book, “Baseball Advertising Trade Cards 3rd Edition.”
The cards feature a variety of humorous baseball scenes. In addition to a full-color picture, each card also has a brief caption presented at the bottom.. A small ‘201’ is also printed in a corner on each card. At nearly 5″ x 7″, these cards are larger than most trade issues.
Colors used on the cards are predominantly vibrant reds, blues, and yellows. The players depicted are not named but that has not hurt their values. The set is quite rare with cards often selling in the $50-$100 range. Thus, despite only containing four cards, it is not a terribly easy set to assemble.
As is the case with most trade cards, these are fragile and printed on thinner card stock. For that reason, they can be torn or ripped quite easily and damaged easier than standard baseball cards.
