H804-32 “9” No Period (9) Trade Cards Overview
This set is part of the baseball comic series of trade cards. Noted collector Frank Keetz assigned it the designation used in his book, “Baseball Advertising Trade Cards 3rd Edition.”
The cards feature a variety of humorous scenes. The cards feature full color images of baseball players along with a unique caption printed with small lettering. The set’s classification comes from the presence of a small printed ‘9’ in a corner on each card. Note that the title of this set calls this series a ‘No Period 9’ to help distinguish it from the H804-15A set, which also includes a printed ‘9’ but has a period after it.
As is the case with most trade cards, these are fragile and printed on thinner card stock. For that reason, they can be torn or ripped quite easily and damaged easier than standard baseball cards.
