1904 Allegheny Card Company Baseball Card Game Overview
The 1904 Allegheny Card Company Baseball Card Game set is likely the rarest pre-war gaming set of all.
That’s because it was never fully released into the public and the only known set is believed to be a promo/test issue. Because of that, only a single example of every player in the set is known to exist.
The cards look like typical playing cards with rounded corners and feature a player’s image, his name, and his team on the one side. Pictures of the players are inside a circle.
The other side has the same image on every one – a cartoon drawing of a baseball and bat logo with the Allegheny Card Company name and their locations in Allegheny, PA and Detroit, MI.
