1912 La Azora Ty Cobb Tigers Schedule Cards Overview
In 1912, La Azora Cigars produced a Detroit Tigers home and road schedule. The real attraction, however, was Ty Cobb images being printed on the fronts.
Each card includes two poses of Cobb and home and road schedules on the back. The interesting layout has led to some confusion surrounding the issue.
While the original schedule cards were printed attached (two pictures of Cobb and home and road schedules on the back), some of these have been separated over the years. Thus, singles can often be found, which include only one picture of Cobb and either the home or road schedule.
Here is an example of a graded, single panel.
In reality, however, those are only individual panels of a complete card. Obviously, while holding some value, single panels with Cobb are worth significantly less than complete issues.
